FanFiction is a story which a writer makes, based upon a series of either a book, show, or movie that they've seen, or read. In which they can make up their own plot, modify the characters in the story, but also add a disclaimer.
Disclaimer? A disclaimer is pretty much just like a copyright. It's giving the owner their rights to their things they've created.
